Healing a Broken Heart “Stop Breathe & Receive”

Stop moving so fast, so hard
Where are you going?
And who & what are you leaving behind?
Not to mention the cost to your health and heart.
Plus, what is the rush anyway?
You act like there is somewhere to go.
When in reality there is nowhere to rush to,
But to stand right where you are.
Breathe.
Breathe I said.
Deeply,
Until you can feel it in your core
That’s right…
Exhale all that pressure,
All the preconceived notions about how any of this thing called your life
is supposed to turn out.
That’s right, see, doesn’t that feel better?
Breathe.
Breathe.
Yes, that’s it.
Now you are ready to LISTEN…
Close your eyes.
Can you hear it?
That voice
that’s been waiting to speak to you for so long.
Wise. Solid. Secure. All knowing.
It has something to tell you…
“Everything is going to be just fine.
It’s all going to work out.
It already is working out,
if you’d just relax, let go and let it do the working out.
Sit back… Breathe… and Receive
the love
the happiness
the peace
the support
the grace
that is always here
When you remember to
Stop. Breathe. & Receive.”
I find great solace in this poem written by Christine Arylo who writes beautiful love letters to herself and women. Although it was written about hard work and the trap that overwork creates, it is also applicable to those healing a broken heart. Losing yourself in overwork creates other problems that add to the overwhelming grief we feel. Sad and broken, we think that throwing ourselves into our work will heal our broken hearts. There is a lesson to be learned by taking solace at times with ourselves and remembering that we need time and space in our minds to begin to create the lives we choose. See yourself as a warrior woman who has the ability to create everything you desire. Once you can see your life in your mind, then you can start to take steps to transform your life.

Healing Your Broken Heart When Other Hearts are celebrating.
Healing Your Broken Heart
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and with it there is the excitement and expectation of love, passion and sharing life with that special someone. But what if you don’t have a special someone to share life and love with? What if, in fact, you even have a broken heart or one that is aching and longing for love? Not everyone looks on Valentine’s Day with the same enthusiasm, excitement, expectation and anticipation. There are those people who look on Valentine’s Day with dread, foreboding, even anger and hostility and who are suffering and will suffer on the Day of Hearts because they don’t have love in their life, let alone that special someone that our culture intimates we have to have to be happy, to be whole and complete, and if we don’t have a special person in our life, that somehow our life is incomplete, not whole and, subsequently, we are led to believe we should be unhappy.
Following are twelve tips to help you heal your broken heart.
1. You are WHOLE whether you have someone special in your life or not. Read the rest of this entry »

I would guess that everyone, especially those reading this, have suffered the pain of a broken heart. If I had a 24-hour remedy for a broken heart, I would be the richest man in the world. But, there are a number of scientifically proven techniques you can engage in that will heal that aching heart.
The latest brain-scan studies performed on people who had been “broken up with” showed that what they experience is quite similar to the withdrawal symptoms found in drug addiction. Could love be a form of addiction? When a love relationship ends – against our desires – could there be withdrawal symptoms? Research indicates that the answer is “Yes”, and there are chemical causes within our bodies that confirm it. Read the rest of this entry »

Hurt Don’t Give Up!
Don’t give up okay.
I know you have been hurt. Believe me.
I know how it hurts. I do. But the feelings will pass.
The tears will stop falling and… Your Heart Will Heal Itself.
And believe it or not, your life will change. You have to believe that.
Stronger, more determined, happier. It will all come your way.
As is the way of the Warrior. We women have so much power.
